Traveling and meeting new people is always such a joy for me. The world is a beautiful place if we can stop and enjoy it. My favorite saying is “Wherever you go there you are” and I travel that way.
I often speak to people who travel the world all the time and come back with such terrible experiences. The food sucked, and people were unfriendly.
I have to say Venice was not the friendliest place I have been. But then again look at it from the inhabitants’ perspective: tourists sometimes feel entitled and don’t know how to play nice with others. Venice is magnificent, historic, and breathtaking. with winding canals, striking architecture, and beautiful bridges, but you must remember that it is a small island that includes actual residents who must go about their daily lives wading among large crows who sometimes feel like they are in a theme park.
I can understand the lack of patience that is shown sometimes to tourists. Should you take it or leave it? Despite it all, it is a great place to visit.

Sometimes you meet lovely couples on their honeymoon willing to ride and share a gondola. Those rides cost a pretty penny. a 40-minute gondola ride starts at 80 Euros.
