Traveling the world and backpacking. When you got to go, you got to go :)

I know it’s a strange subject to write about, but I know I’m not the only one who has had this very serious issue or has been caught in an uncompromising situation with no solution in sight. The solution is so simple and it’s cheap. Order on Amazon for around 10 to 20 USD. It is reusable.

When I was in Morocco I took the bus from Marrakech to Agadir, it was a 5-hour ride, and halfway through the trip the bus made a stop at a charming coffee shop in the desert, so we could relax and have some tea and honey cakes. The bus, very modern somehow did not have a toilet so it was also a toilet break. I waited online and was given a pcs of paper and directed to a stall, when I entered, I must say I wondered where the toilet was, I was not very familiar with the hole in the ground and that whole squatting thing. It was very hard not to do a la pipi on my pants and shoes.

Another example, picture this!  the desert of southern Morocco, you are in a tent covered with camel blankets no beds no toilets, the night cold as a witche’s you know what, and the toilet about 300 feet away in another tent. It’s pitch black. What to do? scary right? well, what I did was stick my butt out of the tent, squatted, and split the whiskers. Not the best way to go but, my friend just stood easy peasy. How easy it would have been if I had a female silicone urination device at the time.

The distance between my tent (bedroom) and the toilet tent.

This was the kitchen/Living area.

Men can just pull up to a wall and it’s instant relief. But ladies how many times have you split the whiskers on your shoes? there are also places and countries where you may not feel very safe about pulling your pants down.

You are driving and there is no place to stop, you pull over and open the doors, and squat, then you see 2 headlights coming in your direction but it’s too late to get up, you are caught mid-stream with your pants down not to mention again wetting your shoes (I don’t care how careful you are this happens all the time). No toilets available or gross toilets. How many of you have thought of carrying a silicone female urination device on your trip? Super unladylike, but when you got to go, you got to go.

When you pack your bags, I’m sure this is not something you think about. I feel that it is a question of safety and convenience.
